Week Two Wrap-Up!

Week Two Wrap-Up!

I can’t believe it’s been two weeks of Blaugust already! There are days when I genuinely feel like this month is flying by and there are others where the day feels like it’s dragging on. And even with that, before I know it, the week’s over. This happens so often that I honestly wonder where exactly time goes, but, then again, time tends to be weird, so I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised.

(Fun fact! Per this article from the Smithsonian seven years ago, time technically counts as a social construct!)

Overall, though, I think this week of Blaugust was a bit more successful than last week. Admittedly, I had a few more things going for me this week than last week, as I already had a week of this under my belt and it was a bit easier for me to stick with the theme of “Getting to Know You.”

To be fair, last week’s theme of “Welcome to Blaugust” was a bit trickier for me to work with given that this was my first time attempting Blaugust at all.  Whereas last week was a lot of me testing random topics to see how they worked, this week, I could just ramble on about myself with the exception of Friday’s post talking about one of the games I play fairly consistently. (And even that technically counted since it was pertaining to my thoughts about it.)

I also found it much easier to talk about myself than I expected. I sometimes feel like I have a hard time opening up to people, especially when I’m the subject of conversation. Maybe it’s just easier doing that in front of faceless strangers on the internet. Maybe I’m only pretending it is. Either way, though, I did it and I’m proud of myself for it.

Next week is also looking to be a tiny bit trickier than anticipated since it’s all about developer appreciation, but we’ll see how we do.

All in all, though, still plugging along, still having fun, and next week… well. I’m not overly worried about next week. The week after, though… that one may get me.
